The following is the list of the countries of the European Union and the European Union.
Have you ever had a drawing team swinging over a finger? And perhaps, if you’re curious about how things work in the physical world, you’ve wondered if it always oscillates the same way when you change your finger’s position and what the characteristics of this strange pendulum depend on.
The experiment proposes to study the oscillations of an equilateral triangle of thin iron wire, made to swing back on a pole in one of its vertices, in the plane of the triangle.
Project. Several equilateral triangles of iron wire with a side between and will be constructed. When each triangle is oscillated at the apex, the oscillation period is measured and the ratio between and is determined.
The Commission has also adopted a number of proposals for the ‘Settlement of the European Union’s financial instruments.
**D1) ** Which of the following best expresses the trend of the oscillation period to the side change ?
**D2) ** Based on the measurements taken and the chosen report, determine the value of the constant and estimate its uncertainty.
**D3) ** Determine , the length of the side of the equilateral triangle of iron wire that, oscillating, strikes the second (period ). Estimate the uncertainty of your value of .
**D4) ** Build a triangle that oscillates with a period of and test it: what value do you measure for the period? Does the measured value fall within the order of the expected uncertainty?

Anno: 2008 · Titolo: LA BILANCIA ROTANTE

Who has never tried to turn an object attached to a rope? When the rotation is fast enough, the rope stretches and the object rises in defiance of gravity. The rope rider feels the force of the voltage to be balanced with the pulse’s traction, and can observe that this force increases as the intensity of the rotation speed increases. The length of the stretched stretch of the rope also affects the tension.
Project. A classic device is used: a spago passing through a rigid plastic tube; at one end a mass cap is fixed which rotates, at the other a mass cup is hung which stretches the wire. The length of the wire length supporting the lid shall be checked with a spring. The and are fixed and the relationship between the mass (providing the voltage) and the rotation period is studied.

The study of the oscillations of an object, when the law by which it oscillates is known, allows the determination of the local value of gravitational acceleration . In this test, a thin metal rod folded to V is oscillated.
Case A oscillation in the plane of the V. The structure oscillates in the plane defined by the sides of the V. For small quantities, the period is:
where , with total length of rod and height of isosceles triangle defined by V. The report (1) can be written as:
The is varied by changing the angle aperture of the V, the period (time of 20 oscillations) is measured each time. The graph of is plotted as a function of , the angular coefficient is determined and calculated:
with uncertainty:
Case B oscillation perpendicular to the plane of the V. With an angular aperture of the V of , the structure oscillates perpendicular to the plane of the V. The period is:
with , then:
with uncertainty:
In both cases, the value found is compatible with .

- proporre possibili ragioni dell’anomalia;

The following information is provided by the Commission on the basis of the information provided by the Commission in this section:
In this experiment, a ball is dropped along a plastic slide whose starting point can be placed at different heights, while the final stretch from which the ball breaks off remains always horizontal. The ball is studied as far as it moves away from the bottom of the slide before touching the floor (given ) and a goal line set at a fixed height from the floor (horizontal distance ) is attempted to hit the ball.
Procedure. Measure the distance from the base of the ball to the floor. The ball is dropped and, using charcoal paper on a white sheet fixed to the floor, the impact points are recorded. Repeat 4 times for each height and calculate the mean range with its uncertainty .
The starting point of shall be lowered each time and the procedure repeated for at least 6 different heights, including the distance at which the finish line (set at ) is hit.
Tradition. Returns the graph of as a function of . The best fit line is traced and the slope is determined.
A proposed case is then analysed: one student took 6 measurements under the same conditions and obtained an isolated impact point compared to the other five. It asks:
- to propose possible reasons for the anomaly;
- to select the most likely value of and estimate its uncertainty .
