Un pallone gonfiato con elio e con involucro di gomma, sale e si trova via via in regioni dell’atmosfera dove pressione e temperatura diminuiscono con l’altezza. Nel rispondere alle domande di questo problema fare l’ipotesi che, indipendentemente dalla zavorra che ha, la forma del pallone rimanga sferica mentre esso sale. Supporre anche che la zavorra abbia volume trascurabile e che la temperatura dell’elio dentro il pallone sia sempre la stessa dell’aria che lo circonda. In questo problema tutti i gas vanno considerati gas perfetti.
