OLIMPIADI DI FISICA 2003 Prova sperimentale: tempo disponibile 31⁄2 h, valutazione 200 punti max GALLEGGIAMENTO DI UNA PROVETTA IMMERSA NELL’ ACQUA

The 2003 Olympics in Physics Test: time available 31⁄2 h, evaluation 200 points maximum The following is a list of the types of water in the water:
It studies the system consisting of a vessel full of water and a test tube, glass or glass metal, covered with a number of steel spheres, answering the following questions:
- Get back to me. Always keep experimental errors in mind, even in your answers.
(A1) Determine the minimum number of no spheres to be inserted in the sample to It floats vertically. If the number of spheres n is less than no (but not too much!) the Floating test tube, stationary, in an oblique position: illustrates why this is the case You’re also using a graphical schematic.
(A2) Determine experimentally the relationship between the depth of immersion h of the water Proof and the number of steel spheres inserted in the proof, with n > no; reports in a graph h(n) the values thus obtained. It shows that the above report can also be obtained from the Theoretically, based on the laws of hydrostatics.
(A3) At this point you can determine the mass of the probe and the mass of a single The steel sphere, both in grams. Describe the main causes of error affecting the The Commission shall, by means of a procedure, adopt the following measures:
(B1) If the test is moved by a quantity x (upwards or downwards) relative to the its equilibrium position O (with n > no), which is the expression of the force of call F that Does it work on it ?
(B2) In the light of the above and disregarding the presence of any other forces, write: The time law of the motion of the probe when it is left free at initial speed Nothing at a distance from O.
(C1) Releasing the test as described in point (B2), observing its engine It suggests a well-defined periodicity. Experimentally check whether the oscillations are isocron, that is, whether or not the period depends on the amplitude, for a certain total mass by you selected (with n > no).
(C2) If isochronism is true, compare the values of the periods obtained by varying the Total mass with those extracted theoretically based on the theoretical model you worked out in the points (B1) and (B2).
