The test shall be carried out in accordance with the following conditions:
Part one.
To determine the R value measurements of P pressure and temperature shall be made T of n moles of air contained in the syringe when the volume V is varied. For this case, the volume of air occupied is given by,
𝑉= 𝑉0 + 𝑣
(3)
Where v is the volume indicated on the syringe scale and V0 is the volume of air in the inside the valve.
The procedure:
1.1. Determine the variation in the volume of the syringe for a turn of the screw ∆v connected to the embolus of it. For this purpose, with the valve open, measure the number of turns of the screw needed to obtain a volume variation of 30 ml. Repeat this measurement at least 5 times.
1.2. Based on the working ranges of the syringe and pressure sensor, estimate the value of Initial v (vi) in such a way that the measurements cover the widest possible range of pressure and volume values. For this purpose, it is assumed that the process is isothermal. Place the plunger at the estimated value of vi and close the valve. Report the value of the vi used.
1.3. Measure the P pressure and the T temperature of the air contained in the syringe for different values of v. Make measurements for v< vi (compression) and for v> vi (expansion). Report the values measured in a table.
1.4. From equations (1) and (3), define a dependent variable (y) and a (x) on the basis of the quantities measured, so as to obtain a linear relationship between x and y.
1.5. Graph y as a function of x and make a linear adjustment of these. Report the value of the ordered to the origin and slope obtained by adjustment.
1.6. From the values of the origin order and the slope obtained by the adjustment, determine the value of V0.
1.7. Given the chemical composition of the air (Table 1) and the atomic mass of the elements that The average molar mass of the Maire air is determined by the composition of the air (Table 2).
Table 1 is replaced by the following: Main air components Gas Concentration [%] N2 78,08 O2 20,94 Ar 0,93 CO2 0,03 The uncertainty associated with the values is 0.01%.

𝜎𝑣= 𝜎𝑣𝑖+ 𝜎(∆𝑣 #𝑣𝑢𝑒𝑙𝑡𝑎𝑠)

𝑇 𝑃= 𝑉0 𝑛𝑅+ 𝑣 𝑛𝑅
Eligiendo
𝑥= 𝑣
𝑦= 𝑇 𝑃
𝑦= 𝑎+ 𝑏 𝑥
con
𝑎= 𝑉0 𝑛 𝑅
𝑏= 1 𝑛 𝑅

𝑎= (5 ± 3) × 10−5 𝐾 𝑃𝑎
𝑏= (150 ± 1) 𝐾 𝑃𝑎𝑚−3
1.6
Como 𝑎= 𝑉0 𝑛 𝑅 y 𝑏= 1 𝑛 𝑅, se obtiene que
𝑉0 = 𝑎 𝑏

𝑀𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒= ∑𝑓𝑖𝑀𝑖 𝑖

𝑀𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒= (28,97 ± 0,03) 𝑔 𝑚𝑜𝑙−1
La incertidumbre de 𝑀𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒 se determino
σ𝑀𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒= ∑σ(𝑓𝑖𝑀𝑖) 𝑖
σ(𝑓𝑖𝑀𝑖) = 𝑓𝑖𝑀𝑖(σ𝑓𝑖 𝑓𝑖

𝜌𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒= (1,19 ± 0,01) 𝑘𝑔 𝑚−3
𝑛= 𝜌𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒 𝑀𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒 𝑉𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒
Donde 𝑉𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒 es el volumen que ocupan 𝑛 moles a 𝑇= 22,2°𝐶 y a una presión de 1013,3 ℎ𝑃𝑎. En este caso se toma 𝑉𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒= 𝑣 + 𝑉0 = (18,6 ± 0,7) 𝑚𝑙. Luego,

Donde la incertidumbre se calculó como
σ𝑛 𝑛= σ𝜌𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒 𝜌𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒
- σ𝑉𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒 𝑉𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑒

𝑅= 1 𝑛 𝑏
𝑅= (8,7 + 0,5) 𝐽 𝑚𝑜𝑙 𝐾
Donde la incertidumbre se calculó como
σ𝑅 𝑅= σ𝑛 𝑛+ σ𝑏 𝑏

Part two.
To determine the value of γ for air, a number of n moles of air shall be submitted to the process as shown in the continuous line in Figure 4. The arrows indicate the direction in which processes are carried out. The line connecting the states (VA; PA) and (VB; Patm) corresponds to an adiabatic process while the line at traces joining the states (VA; PA) and (VB; PB) is a Tamb temperature isotherm.
Figure 4 is shown.
2.1. Write an expression for γ based on the pressures Patm, PA and PB.
2.2. Perform the measurements necessary to determine the value of γ and report the values measured on a table. For this: a. With the valve open, place the embolus in the scale position. for 40 ml. b. Report the value of Patm. c. Close the valve. d. Expand the air contained within the syringe to a volume less than 5 ml. Report the PA air pressure value after expansion. e. Open and close the valve so that the air inside the syringe is compressed. Adiabatically reaching atmospheric pressure. This step must be taken.
The Commission will take the necessary steps to ensure that the system is implemented as quickly as possible, but by allowing the system to reach the atmospheric pressure. f. Wait for the air pressure value to reach a balance value and report that PB value. g. Repeat the above steps to obtain at least ten (10) measurements.
2.3. Report the value of γ obtained in each measurement and report its mean and the estimated uncertainty.
Note: For the calculation of the uncertainty of the natural logarithm, consider that if x= (x̅ ± Δx) and g= ln (x), the uncertainty Δg can be determined by,
Δ𝑔= 1 2 [ln(𝑥̅ + Δ𝑥) −ln(𝑥̅ −Δ𝑥)]

ℎ= 𝑘 𝑁𝑢 /𝐷𝑐
